about us
Physics Students' Scientific Group "Bozon" was founded in 1964 and for the past forty years is one of the most active organizations at AGH University of Science and Technology. Currently, we have approximately 40 members - students at Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science. As an organization we help to develop scientific passion of our members, popularize physics and broaden collaboration between physics students. Twice a month we arrange seminars and each year organize a traditional scientific camp for our members. Since 2004 we are member of IAPS. If you want to find out more about our organization please click here.
Below you can get to know something more about the people who will welcome you in Cracow.

Anna Chrobry I successfully graduated in environmental physics. My scientific interests are climatology and spectroscopic research with major emphasis on the atmosphere and on temperate, polar regions using remote sensing. As for my free time activities, I enjoy mountain hiking and bike riding. I am also hooked on yoga and Spanish culture. |
| Bartek Szpak Currently I am sharing my time between studying nuclear physics and thinking how to welcome you in a Cracow in a possibly best way ;-) . I've been in "Bozon" four years, participated in ICPS in Portugal and Romania. My scientific interests include properties of exotic nuclei and theoretical nuclear physics. In spare time I read Kapuscinski books. When it comes to ICPS 2008 I try to keep all things working together. |

Rafał Grzymkowski I am studying Applied Computer Science at the Faculty of Physics. However, it does not disturb me to keep in contact with a scientific group of physicists "Bozon" at our faculty, whom I met while studying Technical Physics. In my free time I like meeting my old friends. I also make stained glass decorations, which became my passion last time. ;] In addition, I run active sport life, mainly jogging and climbing. I would like to offer my help in organizing ICPS 2008 in Cracow. |
| Tomasz Kluj Nick: MasA. I'm actually newly graduated in Solid State Physics. Apart from physics I'm interested in photography, computer graphics, astronomy, sports and music. Within my 5-year studies I developed good organizational skills of which I take advantage while arranging ICPS in 2008 in Cracow to make it unforgettable experience for all participants of this conference. |

Michal Krupinski I am a student of the fifth year of Physics but also I study Telecommunications as my second faculty. I'm interested in modern technologies and practical applications of physics. I'm especially interested in general solid state physics and physics of thin films. In free time I love mountain trips and sailing. I also enjoy short bike trips beyond city. For me ICPS is a great new experience and big organizing challenge. |
| Szymon Kulis My name is Szymon Kulis, I'm a student of the fifth year of Applied Computer Science at the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science. I love starting things from scratch, more details on my project on http://freshlab.org. Currently I'm working on electronic readout to lumical@ilc. I'm also interested in photography and model making. |

Szymon Myalski My name is Simon. I'm doing my Ph.D. studies at Institute of Nuclear Research, part of Polish Academy of Sciences. I'm interested in wide variety of topics - mostly physics, computer science but also in graphics and psychology. To read more about my interests - please visit my web site |
| Marcin Perzanowski I'm fascinated in physics, especially in nano-engineering (thin films), laser technologies, high-speed detectors based on semiconductors and recently the EPR resonance (for example detecting irradiation in food-samples using the EPR method). What's more, I'm interested in World War II history. I read willingly about it and also watch films related to this subject – “A bridge too far” is one of my favorite. Besides – first aid. I'm a rescuer of International Red Cross. I also play guitar (quoting Radiohead "Anyone can play guitar" :P ) |

Agata Rachwal My name is Agata Rachwal. I'm a forth year student at the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science, AGH University of Science and Technology. I have a mixed personality, responsible and spontaneous at the same time. As a member of the board of physics Students Scientific Circle BOZON I have good attitude around others. I take pleasure in helping to organize ICPS 2008. |
| Bogusław Samul I study physics of solid state at AGH University of Science and Technology. I'm interested in physics of thin films, nanotechnology and aviation. I am (a) member of BOZON scientific circle and enjoy travelling. |

Ania Sokulska My name is Ania Sokulska. Right now I'm a student of the third year of Physics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. I like (and thoroughly respect :D) Physics and I love movies and mountains, there are so many more things that I enjoy. I'd love to meet Physics' students from other countries at the ICPS conference and speak about their experience. But generally ICPS is a great challenge in organizing and I hope we'll all succeed in making it happen. |
| Iwona Sputowska My name is Iwona Sputowska. I'm second year physics student of AGH University of Science and Technology. I would describe myself as funny, outgoing person who is a total cat freak. I'm keen on reading manga that is also connected with my other hobby which is painting. I have many different interests, however, what I enjoy most in my life is obviously physics. |

Bartlomiej Tomala Hi, I’m Bartlomiej Tomala and I study Physics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. I started to study Physic because I wanted to get to know reasons for various natural phenomena and learn about all things which describe the world. But things that I like the most (and I particularly enjoy doing in my free time) are getting together with my friends, escapades into mountains for a weekend and training mountain-canoeing. ICPS 2008 is a big challenge and a new experience for me. |
| Piotr Zieliński Hi! My name is Peter. I am 19 years old. I was born in Sanok in Bieszczady Mountains, which is one of the most stunning and gorgeous places in Poland. Being open-minded, reliable and sensitive describes me the best but I like to get crazy from time to time too. Hope to see you in Cracow at ICPS 2008. |

Kamil Zuber My name is Kamil, but friends call me Zefir (Zephyr). I'm a 4th year student of Solid State Physics. My passion is photography. In my free time I like traveling, riding a bicycle and in winter - skiing. I have been a member of Students' Scientific Circle 'Bozon' for three years. Thanks to it I could meet many new friends, see interesting places and of course I could get to know something about physics. Now that we are organizing ICPS, real adventure has begun. |
| Paweł Pędrak Hi there! My name is Paweł. I am in the second year of Physics in Medicine, MSc programme. I have a great interest in applying electronics to medicine, namely bionics and have been an active member of a student scientific circle BOZON for some 1,5, years now. Being a bass guitar player, I am fond of music, especially jazz. In the meantime I enjoy exploring the Lesser Poland area on my bike, and, when it is too cold, I can as happily enjoy exploring Krakow nice clubs. |
